Save the Date: National Conference 2027 Comes to Kansas City January 12 to 15

RISE 2027, the national conference exclusive for City Lifestyle publishers and their teams, returns to Kansas City January 12 to 15, 2027. Publishers from every market gather for four days of main-stage sessions, breakouts, hands-on training and time with the corporate team that supports them the rest of the year.

RISE is the one week a year when the whole company is in one room. Around 300 publishers fill the main stage for sessions on selling, editorial, digital and running a healthy local media business, then split into smaller breakouts built around where each publisher is in their journey. New publishers meet the people who launched before them. Veterans compare notes on what is working in their markets.

What to expect in 2027

• Main-stage sessions of about 45 minutes each, built to send publishers home with things they can do the following Monday.
• A dedicated Marketing Day with interactive sessions for publishers who are not trained marketers.
• Breakouts on day two organized by topic and experience level.
• Evenings for the part of RISE publishers talk about most: the people.
